Our Response to Covid-19
FROM THE DESK OF OUR OWNERS
ThirdLeaf NW is open and operating as an essential business delivering healthy food to our community. We are regularly monitoring what safety measures city executives and health officials are suggesting to determine how ThirdLeaf NW can be as safe as possible during this crisis.
We have implemented a strict policy for our employees and office personnel and have urged anyone with symptoms to stay home. This policy includes no more than 2 workers on our warehouse floor per shift, 6 feet or more spaced between people at all times, extremely strict hand washing and glove requirements and daily temperature checks for all staff members before they begin work. All employees are required to wear a face mask and fresh gloves on our warehouse floor, or when delivering.
We use a high-grade disinfectant to disinfect all high-touch areas and other communal warehouse spaces multiple times per day.
All of our fruit, vegetables and other products arrive straight to our warehouse from our direct suppliers and are inspected with fresh gloves upon arrival. Our warehouse is inspected regularly by the United States Food & Drug Administration.
We added touchless delivery options for clients as well as "desk boxes" to make social distancing possible for our customers. We also started selling hand sanitizers and face masks to offices in need of PPE. All our products are now single serve. We have disposable papers available for clients who wish to have their employees use them when handling food.
Per the FDA, always wash fruit and vegetables before consuming.
Thank you for continuing to support our local, women-owned business. We are looking forward to delivering to you, your home & your workplace.
